She graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and completed her studies at Seoul National University College of Music with distinction. She earned both a Graduate Diploma and a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School in the United States. She later entered the Artist Diploma program at Indiana University South Bend on a full scholarship and graduated with distinction.

She previously served as a member of the New World Symphony in the United States and was invited to participate in the New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist Program.
