She studied at Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, where she received a music award, and was admitted to Seoul National University with first-place honors, later graduating from the university.
She earned a Master’s degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK and a Doctorate from the University of Southern California in the US on a full scholarship.
She won first prize in the Ewha-Kyunghyang, JoongAng, Dong-A, and Nanpa Music Competitions, and also received the Lim Won-Sik “Unpa Music Award.”
She was also awarded in the Julio Cardona International Competition and the Beverly Hills Competition.
She has been invited to perform at the Seoul International Music Festival, Ensemble Opus, the DMZ International Music Festival, the Yeosu International Music Festival, and the Jeonju Vivace Festival, among others.
She has performed with the Macao Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Cheongju Symphony Orchestra, Cheonan Symphony Orchestra, Changwon Symphony Orchestra, and the Korean Chamber Orchestra, among others.
She previously served as a professor at El Camino College in the United States.
She currently serves as an External Professor at Seoul National University and is also on the faculty of the Montecito International Music Festival in the US, the China International String Arts Festival, and the Wenzhou International Music Festival in China.
