
During his studies in Shanghai and the United States, he received numerous prizes in domestic and international competitions, including Second Prize in the junior division of the National Cello Competition, Silver Prize in the 5th National Golden Bell Award Cello Competition, the Best Work Award at the Dr. Sigall International Cello Competition, and Second Prize at the Tecchler Cello Competition.
As a young cellist active on stages in China and abroad, he has presented solo recitals in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Xiamen, Germany, the United States, Japan, Chile, and many other cities and countries, receiving wide acclaim from both audiences and professionals.
His playing was praised by the renowned cello pedagogue Greenhouse, who remarked that it “could be released directly as a recording.”
Since returning to China to join the faculty of the Affiliated Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, his students have repeatedly won important prizes in competitions at home and abroad.
Many of his students have been admitted with substantial scholarships to major American conservatories such as The Juilliard School, the New England Conservatory, and the Colburn School.
In addition to teaching, he continues to perform actively in major concerts and events both within and beyond the conservatory, including the Xiamen Faculty Concert and Masterclass Series of the Affiliated Middle School, Baroque Music Week, Faculty Performance Concerts, multiple chamber music concerts of the ELA Society, anniversary concert series, new works concerts, and his own recital series, all of which have been highly praised.
