She graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and completed the Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Professional Performance Diploma programs at Korea National University of Arts; she later graduated with highest distinction from the Konzertexamen program at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.

Violinist Min-Jeong Suh was praised by the world-renowned violinist Shlomo Mintz as “a young performer who captivates audiences with mature and beautiful music.” She began studying violin at the age of four, graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and while in her second year at Seoul Arts High School was admitted to the gifted program of Korea National University of Arts, where she completed the Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Professional Performance Diploma programs. She later graduated with highest distinction from the Konzertexamen program at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.

At an early stage in her career, she won prizes in many major Korean competitions, including the Ewha-Kyonghyang Music Competition, Hankook Ilbo Music Competition, JoongAng Music Competition, Busan Music Competition, Nanpa Music Competition, and Dong-A Music Competition. In 2001, she won First Prize at the Yfrah Neaman International Competition in Mainz, Germany, gaining major attention as a Korean-trained violinist. In particular, her performance of the Mendelssohn Concerto with the Mainz Symphony Orchestra at the gala concert received great acclaim and a standing ovation.

She was invited to the Argerich Festival in Beppu, Japan, and the Kusatsu Music Festival in Japan, and was selected as a scholarship artist at the Ishikawa Music Festival, where she received the Ishikawa Music Award. She was also invited to perform in New Artist Concerts organized by The Chosun Ilbo and Kookmin Ilbo, the Kumho Young Artist series, and the KNUA Violinist Series, and received major honors including the President’s Award at the Korea National University of Arts graduation ceremony, an award at the Isang Yun International Competition, and the Grand Prize at the 2009 Seoul Arts Center Symphony Festival Concerto Audition.

She has appeared at the Musikverein Golden Hall in Austria, home of the Vienna Philharmonic, performing with the Vienna Mozart Chamber Orchestra. At the Český Krumlov Festival, she performed Brahms’s Double Concerto with the world-renowned cellist Mischa Maisky and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with leading European orchestras including the Vienna Symphoniker Chamber Orchestra in regular concerts and on a Canadian tour, the Hildesheim Orchestra in Germany, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Teplice Philharmonic Orchestra.

She was invited to the “Asia Dream” concert series sponsored by Sony Japan and Fuji Group, presenting concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, and performed as a representative Korean musician at the Korea-Russia Joint Concert in Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow. In 2009, she won the Grand Prize at the Symphony Festival Concerto Audition and performed with the Korean Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared as soloist with many of Korea’s leading orchestras, including the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Pohang Symphony Orchestra, Jeonju Symphony Orchestra, Ulsan Symphony Orchestra, and TIMF.

She was invited to present a recital in the Kumho Thursday Concert “Portrait of a Young Artist” series, and was selected as a featured musician for KBS FM’s “Noteworthy Perspectives,” where her live performance was broadcast. Her concerto performance was also broadcast on KBS FM’s “Traveling Concerts.” In addition, she has served as guest concertmaster of the Osaka Kansai Philharmonic, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Incheon Symphony Orchestra, Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra, and Seoul Classical Players, as well as concertmaster of the Seoul Arts Center Festival Orchestra and guest principal of Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa. She has also been invited to perform at the Seoul Arts Center 11 a.m. Concerts, Youth Concerts, Summer Chamber Music Festival, Daejeon Arts Center Chamber Music Festival, and many other concert and festival series.

She studied under the late Professor Kim Nam-yun and Professor Krzysztof Wegrzyn. In 2025, she joined the faculty of the Yufuin Music Festival in Japan. She has previously taught at the Seoul Arts Center Music Gifted Academy, the University of Suwon, Sookmyung Women’s University, the Korea Arts Gifted Education Institute, Daegu Catholic University, Chung-Ang University, Kangwon National University, and Deokwon Arts High School. She is currently on the faculty of the Seoul Arts Center Music Gifted Academy, Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, Sunhwa Arts Middle School, and Sunhwa Arts High School, and remains active in both teaching and performance as a member of Erato Ensemble.
